Hello everyone and Happy Pi day!! 3.14159 math geek over here. I didn’t make anything special for Pi day this year but here is a picture of my beautiful mini apple pies from last year. Oh they were so good.
Friday was uneventful, but Saturday afternoon, Brian and I headed to the flower show. This year’s theme was National Parks which sounded really cool, but I have to say, last year’s Disney theme was more impressive to me. Maybe because you have to be more creative with the Disney theme and there are more colors. Of course the work was amazing and I think I covered more of the convention center this time around, noticing some areas that I didn’t make it to last year, like pressed plants and flowers made into artwork and other pieces of plants. So much creativity!! Now here are a few pictures I took.
After the flower show, Brian and I went to eat in China town. I have never been to China town in Philly. We ate early around 4pm since that was when we finished at the Flower show. I had some delicious miso soup, egg rolls and chicken and broccoli. Sorry, no pictures, too busy enjoying delicious food.
Once we finished, we had a while until the next train so we went for a walk, passing by all the people dressed in green celebrating St Patrick’s day. When we got home, I enjoyed some ice cream. I have been lactose intolerant for about 8 years now, but I heard that Ben and Jerry’s had recently released dairy free ice cream and I found it at Wegmans. I have to say, this ice cream was amazing and it will be a great treat from time to time especially once it gets warmer outside and I want something cold.
I worked on my yoga sequence for sunday and relaxed on the couch for the rest of the evening. Had to relax my tired feet.
Sunday morning called for pancakes of course, and a half of grapefruit.
I got some chicken going in the crock pot for the week and got ready for the gym. I headed over early so I could shop at Target and then get in a workout before teaching yoga. My workout before yoga included half of a zumba class and lots of stretching as my calves were very sore from all my recent walking. Speaking of walking, I am aiming for 100,000 steps this week assuming the weather stays nice for my lunch time walks. I was so close this past week.
After my time at the gym, it was time to come home, find some food and start prepping for dinner; turkey lettuce wraps again because they were so good and Brian wanted to try them.
It drizzled off and on Sunday, so I also got some cleaning done. Overall a very good weekend. Time to get started with this week. I have to train a new person at work this week so wish me luck.
How did you spend your weekend?
