Hey there! So I think I am on East Coast time pretty well, but still need to adjust another hour to central time so I am not waking up at 5am Central. I went to visit my friend in Michigan though so I was on East Coast time this morning and that worked out well. Jetlag definitely takes a few days, even from Europe.
So my friend is expecting a baby boy in July. Since I found out the gender while traveling, I picked up a couple things. Then when I came home, I wanted to do a diaper cake, but this time, a motorcycle diaper cake. I followed this youtube video. I didn’t get some of the accessories but it still turned out really cute and she loved it. I had made a regular diaper cake for her first baby. This had challenges with weaving the blanket through the wheels (might have destroyed the middle diapers…) but other than that I thought it was really cute.
The bib on the front is from Ireland and says “the leprechauns made me do it.”
I had a fun time catching up with my friend and seeing her now 3 year old, Isabella. Isabella loved her gifts and put on the shirt and socks I got her. I also got her a book but having her sit down is a challenge.
We were able to head down to the beach and played on the playground.
Then Isabella and I went down to the water to put our feet in. It was FREEZING, but she had a blast running from the waves on the shore. I love Lake Michigan and am so lucky I grew up by it. Now I just need to move somewhere where there is a lake or body of water.
Today I am hanging out until lunch time in Michigan and then heading back to Chicago. I need to start pulling all my things out and sorting again to have less stuff to move in 2 weeks. Also thinking about going to my favorite gym for a workout this evening.
How long does it take you to adjust from jetlag?
Have you ever made a diaper cake?
