October went by in a flash and I feel like now that we are getting into the holiday season, these next two months will go by quickly. Again trying to remind myself to be in the present moment. At this time of year, it gets easy to think about goals for next year and stressing out. I’m trying to work on being in the present moment and be proud of what I have accomplished this past year. I plan to do a year recap in December on the blog, but let’s get back to how October goals went.
- New workout plan or get a trainer – check! I finally signed up on sdevolution.com to get a training plan and a guide for macros to eat. I am still working on the macros and trying to get enough protein and carbs. I tend to eat high fat and low carbs, but they recommended more carbs to gain muscle which is one of my goals. I find their planning is affordable and I think I can follow the plan pretty well at the gym. It’s also nice to be held accountable and check in weekly. I have found I can lift more than I thought already, but still as I get used to the workout, I take it slow at first for proper form that is important to me. Looking forward to new workouts each month and I don’t have to think about which muscles to work each day and form my own plan.
- Save more money – October was definitely better than September. I mean if I didn’t have an unexpected trip home in September, I would have done well. November, on the other hand, is a pricey month, not only for Christmas shopping but because I had a few other expenses up for annual renewal. I really need to analyze my grocery shopping and try to reduce what I spend on food, but I feel so loyal to Wegmans and it being a one stop shop for me instead of trying to find the best deals at multiple stores. Maybe in time.
- Anniversary dinner with Brian – We went out to eat a couple times and it was wonderful. It was also nice to have such beautiful weather to do some walking and hiking outside. I’d love to get more into hiking and doing longer ones. I need to get one of those hydration bags so I can carry more water, especially since by the time we went in October the water fountains that were at the parks were off for the season. It also worked out that we got to go out to see the Harry Potter music played by the orchestra. That was such a fun night. I think I enjoyed it more than Brian as I am more of a Harry Potter fan than him, but he said he enjoyed it as well. I enjoy those outings together more than presents since we don’t get to see each other often.
Honestly, I don’t have many November goals other than to stretch daily, continuing building muscle and increasing my weights in lifting and enjoy the holiday season.
Do you have any goals this holiday season?

My goal for these upcoming two months are slowing down, preparing myself for my karate belt exam on the 9th of December, sharing my essential oils and just stay present.
I did so much this whole year, I do not want to push myself even more.
Big hugs from a fellow Harry Potter fan
Jocelyne xx

Those sound like great goals Jocelyne. Good luck with your karate belt exam. That’s so cool.
