Remember that time I used to write goal posts?! I think my last one was back in November… I haven’t been very good at setting goals but I am trying to get back at it for June.
I know we are already a week into June, but here are my goals for the month. I think most of them are achievable. The only one that I recently added was the push ups so I didn’t do that last week, but we will count Monday as the start for that.

No Netflix on weekday mornings
My most productive time is the morning and I have a great morning routine that includes going to the gym (3 mornings a week), eating breakfast, sometimes reading some blogs and checking emails/paying bills before heading to work. The problem is that sometimes I turn on a show on Netflix while I eat and even if eating takes me 10 minutes, I watch the full 30 minute show.
This hasn’t been too hard since I am participating in the Food Entrepreneur Summit so watching those videos and taking notes in the morning feels more productive and gets me thinking.

Make one new recipe a week whether my own creation or from online that I haven’t tried
I have my favorite and easy dinner recipes, but I am always looking for new ones to try. I think it is a good goal to aim for 1 new recipe a week. So far I have been successful with my Thai Spiralized Cucumber Zucchini salad and this week making Lindsay’s cauliflower fried rice with pineapple.

Decide on a wedding place and venue
I thought I had the place picked and then Brian mentioned another place so I have been researching. I think I need to spend a couple lunch breaks getting some quotes on pricing, but really trying to decide the place to book soon. I like plans. Brian is more go with the flow and hard to commit, so hopefully I can convince him of a place soon.

Attend or do a yoga class at home at least once a week
My yoga practice hasn’t been consistent the last couple weeks. I really like attending a class at a studio in the city or in the park since it is summer. If I can’t make it somewhere in the city, I have a OneOEight membership I should probably use. I just need to set aside the time.

20 push ups a day
For a while in May I was doing this, so I want to try to do this again. Getting stronger daily.
Do you have any goals you are setting for the month?

Great goals! I hear you about mornings being productive. It seems like if I don’t get with it in the AM, the rest of my day follows suit and that’s not good. I used to love setting my goal to try a new meal a week. I need to do that once I have a kitchen again (currently moving). I just went to an actual yoga class for the first time last week in months and LOVED it. Need to make that a weekly habit for sure. Good luck on your goals! They seem very reasonable!

Thanks Melissa. Good luck with moving. And yes with yoga, even though I am a yoga teacher and could make a sequence and practice at home, it is great to be taught by someone else, pick up some tips and also I feel like I am pushed further (in a good way).
